Kazuki Kurusu, a criminal contractor/coordinator with his best friend Rei Suwa, who is a professional assassin raised to be a contract killer since childhood and lives with him, finds himself caring for 4-year-old Miri Unasaka after she accidentally wanders into a firefight in a hotel while looking for her father.
