Before death, Norah and Charli embodied the millennial ennui, unlucky in love, freelance layabouts a part of the laptop-class where WFH meant a day off to spend time running into shitty relationships or better yet bars. Now they are still that but just dead. And the nightmare idea of a job with no end in sight has come to life, requiring training wheels and more 'giving back' experience for them to move on. These training wheels look like ancestral guidance for young black people. Norah would describe this as an illegal unpaid internship (whose union rep?). Her boss Aunty Rose describes it as their cultural obligation. And Charli is annoyed he was dressed head-to-toe in Anko before dying, and you're telling him he has to wear this outfit forever? Well, it's not forever unless they can learn to buckle down and grow up. Now we meet their first descendant.
Bad Ancestors
Best friends Nora and Charli will guide young Black people in the afterlife through ancestral wisdom.
