On September 11th, 1759, the French-controlled City of Québec has been under siege by the British for eleven weeks, with both sides stuck in a stalemate. French General Louis-Joseph de Montcalm is fighting on two fronts, while British General James Wolfe is desperate to turn the tide, having shouldered the responsibility for their many losses. Wolfe's plan to attack the city from a new angle is met with skepticism, so he keeps it secret, sharing only what each officer needs to know to execute their duties. He also conceals his terminal illness, knowing he has only a few days left. This sets the stage for the Battle of the Plains of Abraham, which would alter Québec's fate and forever etch the names of the two generals in history.
