Uncle Tony, Three Fools and the Secret Service background

Uncle Tony, Three Fools and the Secret Service

Uncle Tony, the Master Butcher of Auschwitz, a documentary that explores the life of John Demjanjuk, a man who rose to prominence in a totalitarian society, Communist Bulgaria, and examines the moral implications of his actions.

In Communist Bulgaria, one man's career was built on the back of another, while the latter remained unknown to the public. Uncle Tony collaborated with the influential D.D. on pivotal films that shaped history in the 1970s, but Tony's own aspirations were stifled, unable to leave the country or pursue his own filmmaking dreams.
