Twins Viola and Sebastian are torn apart by a shipwreck. Viola, disguised as her brother, enters the Duke Orsino's service in Illyria, tasked with wooing Lady Olivia on his behalf. However, Olivia is uninterested in the Duke, but develops feelings for Viola's new identity. Meanwhile, Olivia's uncle and cohorts seek revenge against her stern majordomo, Malvolio. The arrival of Viola's brother Sebastian sets off a chaotic chain of events.
