In a Taiwan plagued by drought, watermelons become a symbol of abundance, serving as a refreshing drink, a nourishing meal, and even an aphrodisiac. Against this backdrop, the lives of Hsiao-Kang and Shiang-chyi intersect in a sprawling apartment complex. Hsiao-Kang, once a watch salesman, now works in the adult film industry, while Shiang-chyi scavenges for plastic water bottles. As they navigate their aimless days, they find themselves entwined in a series of surreal and fantastical moments, including song and dance numbers. Despite their disparate paths, they share moments of intimacy, from helping each other find lost keys to sharing a nap in the park. Amidst the chaos, Hsiao-Kang's film-making continues, raising questions about the possibility of connection and understanding between these two lost souls.
