A stagecoach carrying newlyweds Willard and Doretta Mims is hijacked by outlaws led by Usher, who demands ransom from Doretta's wealthy copper-mine owner father. As the group waits for a response, tension builds and a romantic connection forms between Pat Brennan, who hitched a ride with the stagecoach, and Doretta.
