The Singing Sheriff background

The Singing Sheriff

When Sheriff Seth is about to apprehend notorious gang leader Squint for murder, he's ambushed by one of Squint's henchmen and left wounded. In a desperate bid to survive, Seth requests his deputy, Fuzzy, to send for his son Butch, a trusted ally.

A wounded Sheriff Seth sends for his son Butch, but Butch is ill and asks his friend Bob, a radio-singing star, to pose as him. Bob becomes a deputy sheriff and falls for Butch's sister Caroline, but things get complicated when lawyer Vance, who is courting Caroline, is revealed to be the leader of a gang. Bob must navigate the chaos and eventually exposes Vance's true identity, leading to his capture. Along the way, Bob and Caroline develop feelings for each other, and in the end, they decide to be together.
