An anthology of spy stories follows the US intelligence chief in Europe, General Bruce, as he recalls individual cases he oversaw. The Berlin case involves Soviet intelligence Colonel Dimitri Koulov, who escapes to Checkpoint Charlie and is received by US Army MPs. Koulov wants to see General Bruce to share secret information, but Soviet agents try to him kill. In the French case, General Bruce recalls cooperation with French intelligence to neutralize enemy agents threatening US submarines. The Italian case involves cooperation with Italian intelligence to rescue an Italian scientist from enemy agents.
