In the streets of Istanbul, a mysterious disappearance sets off a chain of events when Gonzales, a Spaniard, reports that La Rossa, a stunning woman, has vanished from the life of John Ward, a troubled painter.

In this film, a struggling artist, played by Farley Granger, grapples with his addiction and financial struggles. He finds solace in painting a mannequin, which suddenly transforms into a stunning, living woman. Initially, the woman is silent, but as she begins to speak, the artist's behavior towards her turns abusive. Meanwhile, the woman indulges in a reckless and promiscuous lifestyle.
