A young prince, the Queen's youngest son, is heading to university, largely due to his lack of aptitude in other areas. His new bodyguard, Barry, has no patience for the royal family and dropped out of school at 15. Unenthused about his new role, Barry is surprised to find himself developing a fondness for the naive young prince, until they both fall for a new American student.
