The Old Barn Dance background

The Old Barn Dance

In this classic Western, a group of horse breeders face off against a rival tractor company that's trying to put them out of business by proclaiming horses are obsolete.

Gene Autry, a horse seller, is lured into signing a contract with a struggling radio station owned by Sally Dawson. Unbeknownst to him, the sponsor of his program is a tractor company he's competing against. When the ranchers who purchased tractors from the company default on their payments and the company forecloses, they mistakenly blame Gene Autry for their financial woes.
