A group of stranded US soldiers in Cambodia after the fall of Saigon seek refuge in an ancient temple, where they discover a gold statue worth millions. As they plan to return and split the treasure, the lieutenant's greed takes over, leading him to murder his comrades. Eight years later, the lieutenant returns to reclaim the statue, but his past catches up when he discovers one of the soldiers, thought to be dead, now living in a Thai village.
