In the movie, a woman named Madeline Hammond purchases a ranch unaware that a notorious smuggler, Hayworth, is using it to transport ammunition across the border. As tensions escalate, she reunites with Gene Stewart, her former foreman who had left the country after a disagreement with the Sheriff. Gene discovers Hayworth's illegal activities and forces him to destroy his stash. However, the Sheriff, who was supposed to receive a cut of the profits, murders Hayworth and then arrests Gene for the crime.
