In 1883, South Dakota, former buffalo hunter Sandy McKenzie is weary of his profession. He's recruited by Charlie Gilson, a ruthless killer of buffalos and Indians, for a lucrative buffalo-hunting venture. Joining them are skilled skinner Woodfoot and half-Indian Jimmy O'Brien. After a group of Indians steal their horses, Charlie brutally kills them in their camp. He captures a beautiful Indian woman and her infant son, bringing them to his camp as his own. As Sandy and the woman grow closer, they fear Charlie's wrath. Tension builds until Charlie kills a sacred white buffalo, sparking a dire confrontation.
