The Kreutzer Sonata

A film based on Leo Tolstoy's novel, it tells the story of Edgar Hudson, who meets and falls for Abby, a concert pianist, at a dinner party. Despite being involved with someone else, they begin an affair, and Abby becomes pregnant with Edgar's child. Four years later, Abby is now Mrs. Hudson, a wealthy mother of two, but she has lost her passion for music and is unhappy. Edgar tries to cheer her up by suggesting she perform again, and introduces her to Aiden, a young violinist. As they practice together, Edgar becomes convinced they are having an affair, leading to a downward spiral of morbid jealousy.
