A former monarch, Alfred VII, lives a life of luxury in Paris with his loyal servants, but his days are filled with boredom and excessive drinking. He's introduced to a chorus girl who flirts with him, but when he passes out, his servants devise a plan to snap him out of his apathy by pretending she didn't show up and acting as if he's unimportant. The plan succeeds, but what if the girl ends up falling in love with Alfred instead?
