In 1991, Armenia is on the brink of independence after the Soviet Union's collapse. Eve, a 23-year-old photographer, has been living in New York City for 10 years, struggling to pursue her passion while working as a waitress at night. She longs for a sense of stillness, but tragedy strikes when she learns that her childhood friend Arman has been killed in Armenia. Eve is sent to cover the events in the Caucasus and finds herself on a journey that transforms her life.
