The Homestretch background

The Homestretch

In the midst of harsh Chicago winters and the challenges of high school, three resilient teenagers navigate life on the streets, fueled by their determination to forge a better future for themselves.

Three homeless teens, Kasey, Anthony, and Roque, fight to stay in school, graduate, and build a future while facing the trauma of being abandoned at an early age. The film follows their journeys through haunting images, intimate scenes, and first-person narratives, connecting viewers to larger policy issues of juvenile justice, immigration, foster care, and LGBTQIA rights.
