Two apprentices, Kasper and Prudence, outsmart their mentors. Kasper discovers the Hidan of Maukbeiangjow, where six girls were abducted, while working with private investigator Sam Trowel. Prudence is a Christian spiritualist learning from wizard Aph, who uses vodoun rituals to possess corpses with demonic spirits.
