A wealthy IT businessman takes his family to their new summer home by the lake, where they enjoy a relaxing vacation. However, when his son Kevin ventures into a haunted area to retrieve his missing kite, he becomes possessed by a malevolent spirit. After rushing Kevin to the hospital, a doctor who is an old friend of the family recognizes the boy's condition and advises his parents to seek the help of an exorcist to save him.
