Takao, a young shoemaker-in-training, skips school to sketch his dream shoes in a Tokyo garden, where he encounters an enigmatic woman named Yukino, significantly older than him. Their chance meetings become recurring, but only on rainy days, with no prior arrangement, as they find themselves drawn to each other.
