A lone cowboy, Tex, is hired to mediate a violent range war between cattlemen and homesteaders. He's shocked to discover his former outlaw boss, Lassiter, is secretly fueling the conflict. When Lassiter invites Tex to join his gang, Tex declines and decides to expose Lassiter's scheme, but his warnings are met with skepticism.
