A newlywed couple, Grant and Christie Himmel, relocate to a rural area in Virginia, but Christie soon finds the old house they've moved into to be unsettling. Despite its dark history of violence and the forced exile of the Cheroenhaka Native Americans, the town seems to be hiding its secrets. As strange events occur, Christie becomes convinced that the house is haunted, but her concerns are dismissed by others. But when she uncovers the truth, she realizes she may be trapped in the very place she fears the most.
