Freelance photographer Peter Parker gained superpowers after being bitten by a radioactive spider, including super-strength, agility, and the ability to climb walls and ceilings. He created a web serum and became the superhero Spider-Man, fighting crime at night, while working for the Daily Bugle and its demanding editor J. Jonah Jameson during the day.
