Indy joins the Lafayette Escadrille flying unit and undertakes perilous reconnaissance missions behind enemy lines. After a confrontation with German Ace Manfred von Richthofen, Indy is grounded and pursues German aircraft designer Anthony Fokker. Undercover in enemy territory, Indy uncovers a secret weapon that could alter the war's outcome, and decides to either bring news of it back to the Allies or destroy it.
