A new student, June Ryder, enrolls at Custer College to win the heart of Ray Blent, a science major and star basketball player. June's plan involves using the classroom to get Ray's attention, much to the knowledge of three professors who accept her unusual approach. As June's efforts pay off and Ray begins to notice her, a new challenge arises when he receives anonymous bribes to throw an important game against the Russian team, the Sputniks. With his ethics and academic integrity at stake, Ray must decide what to do, involving Professor Sullivan in the process.
