Rival ranchers Steve Barrett and Tiny Baldwin compete to supply horses to the US Army during World War II, but put aside their differences to aid the war effort. Meanwhile, two actresses, Penny and Addie, arrive at Steve's ranch, posing as a cook, but their true profession is discovered, threatening their chances of winning the Singing Championship at the 1944 Frontier Days Celebration.
