A scientist on Krypton sends his infant son to Earth before the planet explodes, where he is found and adopted by a farmer and his wife. As the boy grows up, he uses his superpowers for good, working as a reporter and fighting against the Spider Lady, who possesses a fragment from Krypton that can render him powerless.
