Archaeologists uncovered two sites crucially connected with Stonehenge's construction between 2014 and 2018. The first site was a Welsh quarry where the bluestones were extracted from a volcanic outcrop. The quarry's dating led to the search for a second site where the stones were originally set up in a circle for 400 years before being transported to Stonehenge.
