A group of travelers embark on a perilous journey by stagecoach from Tucson to Fort Yuma in 1873. When a young Chinese girl contracts smallpox, the other passengers are abandoned in the desert, forced to fend for themselves. The group consists of a gunfighter, a gambler, a young doctor, a corrupt Indian agent, an army officer, and two other Chinese girls. Only a few manage to survive the harsh desert conditions and an Indian attack.
