In a post-apocalyptic Los Angeles of 2024, COVID-23 has ravaged the city, claiming 56% of its inhabitants. Those who remain immune, like Nico, are forced to navigate the desolate streets, delivering packages on his bike and avoiding the few checkpoints. As the sole survivor of his kind, Nico is shunned by the infected masses, who resent his freedom to roam. His relationships are reduced to phone calls, as he tries to hold on to his girlfriend amidst the chaos. Meanwhile, the Department of Sanitation ruthlessly rounds up infected individuals and their non-immune family members, condemning them to the notorious Quarantine Zones, where death is all but certain.
