Kay, living in a small rural town, feels her life is dull and repetitive. One night, she meets Bob, a young, handsome, and wealthy man who takes her out after getting lost while drunk. Kay likes Bob and agrees to marry him, but the next morning, Bob regrets his decision. His parents, however, insist they pretend to be married for six months to avoid bad publicity.
