Dr. Alice Arnolds, a sleep therapist, investigates a family's sleep disturbances, initially believing the son's visions of a monster are a result of sleep paralysis. As the family's sleep is monitored, Charlie Morgan, the father, attacks Alice, leading to his arrest for abuse. However, the son is attacked again, and a janitor and his uncle reveal that an ancient demon, Nocnitsa, is behind the family's troubles.
