Patsy Brent, a bail-bond broker, searches for her partner's client Steve Morgan, who has been framed for embezzlement. Morgan, accused of stealing bonds, has disappeared. Patsy finds his ex-boss's body and eventually tracks Morgan to a mountain lodge, where he convinces her of his innocence. Together, they search for the missing bonds and finally discover them in a secret compartment rigged with a booby trap. Morgan then lures the board of directors to the lodge, where he tests their guilt by asking each to open the panel, revealing the person who refuses is the true culprit.
