A newly-elected district attorney is kidnapped by a crooked political boss, who plans to replace him with an ex-convict who is his exact double. The D.A. manages to escape and assumes the identity of his double, gathering evidence and waiting for the perfect moment to take down the gang boss and his henchmen.
