Buster Crabbe stars in the Universal Pictures serial "Red Barry", based on the Will Gould comic strip. The story follows the quest for two million dollars in bonds, which changes hands numerous times between various groups and their henchmen. The bonds are acquired and re-acquired by characters such as Quong Lee, a Eurasian underworld chief, and Natacha, a ballet dancer representing a ruthless Russian group. The serial features a complex web of characters, including criminal investigators and agents, and includes many twists and turns as the bonds are constantly changing hands.
