A beautiful 19th century woman named Lilith Silver tries to intervene when her lover is challenged in a duel with Sir Sethane Blake. Lilith shoots him but the bullet has no affect on him, and he returns fire critically wounding her then kills her lover. Later he transforms her into a vampire against her will. Decades later, she is working a hired assassin, targeting members of an elite sect called "The Illuminati," who secretly are taking over businesses in the city and the government. Inadvertently, her killing spree attracts the attention of a she becomes the target of a Scotland Yard cop named Detective Inspector Price. Lilith finds out later that the head of "The Illuminati" is no other than Sir Sethane Blake, the vampire who turned her into a monster.
