Trevor, a timid undertaker's assistant, frequently accompanies his friend Ronnie to the pub with his girlfriend Sandra. One evening, Sandra introduces Trevor to her outgoing friend Linda, who struggles to get Trevor to agree to a date. Eventually, Linda convinces Trevor to attend a disco with her, but he refuses to dance, leading Linda to instead dance with Ronnie.
