Play for Today

A disillusioned young man, desperate for connection, deceives his way into a community of faith, but his fabricated stories ultimately lead to a dramatic unraveling of his facade.

A lonely and compulsive misfit named Henry becomes obsessed with helping a church community, gaining the trust of the Minister and others. He gets involved with youth groups, Sunday School, and Scouts, and delivers lectures based on his travels, but they're actually just memorized from brochures. As time passes, his tendency to exaggerate and lie, along with his unusual behavior, start to raise concerns about his stability and safety.
