Mort Saunders, a wealthy ranch owner, is murdered, and his foreman, Matt Brawley, takes control of the property, ruling with an iron fist. When a settler named Jim Darcey protests Brawley's tyranny and is also killed, his daughter Joan writes to Wild Bill Saunders, Mort's nephew and rightful heir to the ranch, pleading for him to return and reclaim his inheritance. However, Brawley and his henchmen vow to prevent Wild Bill from setting foot on the property.
