A filmmaker's dream of making a heist film becomes a reality when he discovers the story of the "Robin Hood of Vallecas", a notorious burglar, and writes to him from prison. Against all odds, the burglar agrees to meet with the filmmaker, leading to an unlikely friendship and a shared goal of creating a heist film.
