In 1973, María leaves her boyfriend at the altar in Rome and flies to Spain, where she meets Amparo, a lively flight attendant. María starts a new life in Madrid, working as a flight attendant and meeting Pablo, who helps her find a lost suitcase. Pablo works at TVE, a Spanish TV channel, and María becomes a dancer on the popular show "Las Noches de Rosa." However, her new life is complicated by the repressive Francoist Regime, her boyfriend Massimiliano, who tries to win her back, and Pablo's complicated family dynamics. As María navigates her relationships and career, she must choose between her dreams of dance and freedom, and the comfort of returning to Rome with Massimiliano.
