Jo Lake and Mark Davies, a duo of con artists, get caught up in a sinister plot when they cross paths with the ruthless Kleinie. After Mark's murder, Jo is forced to take Tom, a young student, on a wild goose chase to evade the police. As they try to clear Tom's name, they're pursued by Kleinie and eventually become his prisoners.
