He's a lonely man living with his cat Patty in a rented room, where he's also having an affair with the house owner's wife. Despite this, he's drawn to Miss Peabody, his colleague, who has big career plans. However, he's also intrigued by an offer from a patient, Mr. Wolfe, which affects his decision.
