Moonlight Sonata background

Moonlight Sonata

In this romantic film, a classical piano performance by Mr. Paderewski weaves together the love story of two young souls, echoing the same melody that had once united the girl's parents.

A romantic tale unfolds when a pianist, Igor Paderewski, and two fellow passengers find themselves the unexpected guests of a Swedish baroness after their pilot makes an emergency landing. One of Paderewski's companions takes a liking to the baroness's granddaughter, but his true nature as a self-centered con-artist is eventually revealed. The young girl must come to terms with the truth, aided by Paderewski's soothing piano performances, including a haunting rendition of Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata".
