Mickey, a struggling musician, plays Christmas carols on his standup bass to earn change, but receives only worthless items. When a spoiled brat kid demands Pluto, Mickey initially refuses, but after his bass is destroyed and he sees a house full of orphans with no presents, he decides to play Santa for the children. Meanwhile, the brat mistreats Pluto, leading his father to banish the dog and discipline the child.
