Men of the Sea background

Men of the Sea

After his sons' tragic disappearance at sea, Henry Foley abandoned his fishing career. However, when war erupts, he finds himself drawn to a lifeboat crew, much to his wife's distress.

The film is a short propaganda piece set during wartime, following the Foley family of fishermen. The family's matriarch has already lost two sons at sea and is determined to keep her last son and husband safe. However, the war effort's demands eventually persuade her to let them contribute to the war effort.
