Big Dan McCormick, the sole survivor of a bus crash, is taken to a laboratory by Dr. John Lawrence, an electrophysiology expert, after his apparent immunity to electricity sparks interest. Dr. Paul Rigas, Lawrence's assistant, secretly conducts experiments to prove his theory that electricity can control human life. As Dan absorbs increasingly powerful charges, he develops immunity and becomes a superhuman, electrically charged robot under Rigas' control.
