In ancient Kyoto, a mysterious white rainbow appears, causing chaos and fear among the people. The Emperor orders a renowned astronomer, Yasunori, to find a solution. However, his own disciples, Yasuna and Doman, have conflicting ambitions, leading to a series of tragic events. Yasuna's love for Sakaki, the astronomer's adopted daughter, is shattered when she takes her own life, and Yasuna kills the astronomer's wife in his grief. He retrieves the secret book and sets out on a journey, only to fall in love with Kuzunoha, a younger sister of Sakaki. As Yasuna navigates his new relationships, he becomes embroiled in a battle between good and evil, ultimately resulting in the birth of a child and a poignant farewell.
